Healthy Schools Training
Programme September 06 - July 07

The aim of the National Healthy Schools Programme is to identify
and implement ways of enhancing ant physical and emotional
health and wellbeing of everyone in the school, adults as well
as children.
The Healthy Schools Programme also understands the importance of
investing in health to assist the process of raising levels of
pupil achievement and improving standards as well as providing
both a physical and social environment that is conducive to
learning.
The Healthy Schools Programme aims to help achieve this by
providing a framework for schools to deliver the Personal,
Social & Health Education and Citizenship curriculum, other
health related aspects of the National curriculum, including the
SEAL and SEBS strategies, and pastoral care that are also an
expectation of Ofsted.
