Workshops

As a result of the specialist school status we are now able to offer a variety of art workshops to the local community at a minimal charge or for free!

An image of some heads created by a Saturday morning group. Every Saturday morning workshops are held at The Castle School for children in local primary schools.  This is aimed at Year 5 and 6 students who come along and work with current Year 7 students on a whole range of art activities.  The workshops are run by Mrs C Lister an ex Art Teacher from the school and an ex pupil.  So far students have produced 3-D portraits, clay pots, paper mache buildings and paintings.

A great way to spend a Saturday morning!

On Wednesday afternoons we run adult art workshops, which provide people in Thornbury with the opportunity to come along and learn new art skills or to develop their own interests.  The following are some examples of drawings and screen prints produced recently.
