Leading Practitioners

 
Leading Teachers are now able to provide free support with embedding ICT in the curriculum for South Gloucestershire schools. The aim of this is to support schools with disseminating elements of the Embedding ICT training to all staff.
Leading teachers can provide the following types of support:
  • Demonstration lessons in their own school
  • Support with staff training
  • Support with planning
  • In class teacher support
The aspects of Embedding ICT that could be a focus for schools are use of the following to support the curriculum:
  • Movie Creator cameras for animation and film
  • Interactive whiteboards with images and sound
  • Free sound software - Audacity and Sound Recorder
  • Presentation software particularly Photostory (free)
  • Digital microscope
The materials to support all of the above are freely available to be downloaded on the South West Grid for Learning Portal. They are located in the All Schools Community Embedding ICT, T & L Conferences 2006 folder.
